Mountain of Canigou

The sea stretches from Barcarès to Argelès along wide sandy beaches of the Méditeranean Coast.  At the bend in a path you’ll find seashores,  vineyards throwing themselves into the sea,  marvellous landscapes of the Languedoc Roussillon region, typical harbours painted in the Catalan colours. Port-vendres, the natural reserve near Banyuls and his centre for deep-sea diving and research, Collioure with his royal castle, Cerbère and Port-Bou, at the Spanish border.

The natural site “Les Orgues” in ille sur têt, one hour drive from your holiday camp, is a unique geological formation. Its  colourful landscapes are the result of a 5 million years process. Discover the fairy’s chimneys and the origin of this landscape on a discovery path. In Arles sur Tech, you can visit the “Gorges de la Fou”, 1 hour only from the seaside, in a medium- altitute mountains. This is Europe's narrowest gap, made by a river.

St Paul de Fenouillet,   the “gorges de Galamus” 45 minutes from the campsite, from which, through  a small path leading to a hermitage on a slope, you can find a chapel made of stone. 

Less than one hour and a half  drive, leave the warmth of the beach behind, the turmoil of the plain and take the advantage of this day to go for a little trip  in the  Cerdagne, the heart of the Pyrenees, with his mountain peaks and lakes , various landscapes. Just a little further you'll drive  to  Andorra Principalty,  famous for his free  tax  shopping.
